*sur-nature*は、カスタムアルゴリズムから導き出され、物質的な形態に戻された推測的な植物フォームの集合です。作品は、2019年以来アーティストが訓練してきたカスタムAIモデル、すなわち*Generative Adversarial Network*（またはGAN）から始まります。このモデルは、自然史の収集から得られた400万枚の標本室シートと、彼がサヴォア山脈で自ら乾燥させ、カタログ化した約1,500個の標本で訓練されました。モデルは、自然の論理に従うが実在しない植物フォームを生成します：非対称性、自分自身にループバックする茎、急激なカット、不規則な葉。選ばれたフォームは3Dに持ち上げられ、森で集められた落ちた枝と組み合わされ、失われた木の技法を使用してブロンズで鋳造され、油で塗装され、またはタペストリーおよび他のメディアに投影されます。
