我们对自然的记忆随着时间的流逝而逐渐褪色，人们在不知不觉中习惯了环境的不断恶化。每一代人都将他们童年时期所遇见的自然环境视为常态。

美国心理学家彼得·卡恩（Peter H. Kahn）将这种心理现象称为"环境代际遗忘症"。为了对抗这种逐渐的遗忘，研究人员已经联合起来，设计了一种从生态角度书写历史的方法，以便与自然重新建立联系。

一个由艺术家和科学家组成的集体智慧正在利用新技术，尤其是数字技术，作为一种手段来与已被遗忘的自然状态重新建立联系，并保护人们对它的记忆。

本次展览展出了十五位艺术家的作品，媒介丰富多样——绘画、视频、挂毯、素描、装置、增强现实、雕塑等——其中the artists被要求协调自然与技术的关系，重新思考我们与生命的关系。展览分三个阶段展开，首先回顾过去对自然的破坏；然后探索自然的独创性及其脆弱性，以提高人们对保护自然紧迫需要的认识。第三阶段展示由the artists构想的各种推测性未来，其中前瞻性叙述反映了对共生关系的希望。
